In addition to our own programs and retreats, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center is pleased to provide space for a variety of hosted events organized by outside groups and ministries. The events listed on this page take place at our facility, but registration, scheduling, content, and event management are handled entirely by the sponsoring organization. World Wide Marriage Encounter (English & Spanish)

Genesis: A Pre-cana Retreat

The Genesis: Pre-Cana Retreat is a one-day marriage preparation retreat that seeks to bring couples into an encounter with the love of Christ through warmth and beauty, Scripture and Sacraments, prayer, witness, and accompaniment.
Engaged couples are preparing to say a wholehearted “I do” to one another on their wedding day. On the Genesis: Pre-Cana Retreat, a team of married couples delves into each of the wedding vows and shares God’s blessings in their journey of married life. What does this “yes” really entail? What makes the sacrament of marriage different than a civil marriage? What are man and woman called to be and become in the vocation of marriage? What does married love look like? What are the responsibilities as a Catholic husband and wife?
The retreat agenda includes a continental breakfast, lunch, four presentations, reflection and discussion time, Eucharistic adoration, and an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
NOTE: You only need ONE ticket per couple.

Drawing from the richness of our Catholic Heritage, we seek to teach, equip, and activate disciples to demonstrate the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit in their spheres of influence. Through a quarter-based curriculum, The Encounter School of Ministry offers practical tools in evangelization and long-term discipleship to make the supernatural life of the Holy Spirit a natural part of your everyday life, just as Jesus intended.
